SNOWMELT SYSTEMS + HEAT PAVER WALKWAYS AND PATIOS
In Western Massachusetts and Southern Vermont, winter doesn't have to mean the end of your outdoor season. We specialize in the installation of automated snowmelt systems for paver patios, walkways, and driveways. By integrating high-efficiency tubing or electric heating cables beneath your paver or natural stone surfaces, we create a maintenance-free winter landscape.
These systems not only save you from the physical labor of shoveling but also protect your investment by eliminating the need for harsh de-icing salts, which can degrade masonry over time.
Video Transcript: Hello I'm Justin from CountryScape Landscape. I'd like to share with you one of our heated paver walkway projects. This particular project consisted of a total reconstruction of the home's landscaping including new planter beds plantings and walkways. As part of the heated walkway installation the CountryScape crew and I installed specially designed heating cables underneath the pavers. These heating cables are engineered for this particular use and can easily be installed on the paver walkways, driveways, garages and stairs. The major benefit to these particular heating systems are the fact that they are very efficient to run; turning off and on automatically while at the same time eliminating the need for sanding salting or running your snowblower . Homeowners and businesses who hire out snow removal could easily see a system similar to this pay for itself within a few winters while staying environmentally friendly. The snow melting system is fully automated a sensor mounted nearby consents air temperature and moisture such as snow or freezing rain. When conditions permit the system turns itself on and brings the ground temperature just beneath the pavers to above freezing and keeping snow from sticking or ice from forming. In this particular snow storm that had been snowing for about eight hours, leaving about seven inches of snow on the ground and the walkways are still free of snow and ice. The control unit mounted indoors gives the homeowner the option to manually turn the system on and off as well.
